Pump the brakes on doom scrolling.
DoomBrake puts a deliberate pause between you and the infinite feed, so the choice to keep scrolling becomes a choice again — not a reflex.
Takes 60 seconds. No sign-up.
How it works
Catch the spiral
An on-device accessibility service notices when you open the apps that suck you in — Reels, Shorts, TikTok, X — the ones you choose.
Add a pause
Instead of an instant feed, you get a calm full-screen breather that asks why you opened it. The friction is the point.
Hold the line
Set daily time limits per app. When you hit them, DoomBrake steps in. It restarts on reboot so it can't be quietly forgotten.
Questions
Is it on the Play Store?
No. You buy once here and download the APK directly. After purchase you get a download link by email that keeps working.
Do you collect my data?
No accounts, no analytics servers, no tracking. Everything the app does happens on your phone. We only know that a purchase was made (via Stripe).
Which apps can it block?
Any app on your phone — you pick the list. It ships with sensible defaults for the usual doom-scroll suspects.
Will it slow down my phone?
No. It's a lightweight native service that only wakes up when a watched app comes to the foreground.
