Terms of Service

Last updated: 23 June 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your purchase and use of DoomBrake — the DoomBrake Android application and this website. By buying or using DoomBrake, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app. DoomBrake is operated by an independent trader based in Lithuania.

How purchases work

Your purchase of DoomBrake is made through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record and authorised reseller. Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record and handles payment, billing and applicable sales tax/VAT, and its own terms also apply to the purchase transaction.

Your licence

DoomBrake is sold as a one-time purchase. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and install the DoomBrake app and use it on Android devices that you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. Your purchase includes the app and any updates we choose to make available; you can re-download it using the link provided after purchase.

What you may not do

How the app works

DoomBrake uses Android’s Accessibility, Usage Access and “display over other apps” features to notice when an app you have chosen to limit comes to the foreground and, where your rules require, to show a full-screen reminder. It is distributed as an APK installed directly from us — not through the Google Play Store — so you install it manually. You are responsible for the rules you configure. Some rules (such as scheduled blocks and the daily limit) are designed, by intention, to be difficult to loosen immediately.

Availability & updates

We aim to keep DoomBrake working on current, supported versions of Android, but we cannot guarantee compatibility with every device, manufacturer customisation, or future Android version. We may release updates and may change or discontinue features.

Disclaimers

DoomBrake is a self-help tool intended to support healthier phone habits. It is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. DoomBrake is not a medical, psychological, or mental-health service and is not a substitute for professional advice or treatment. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will prevent all use of the apps you target.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of DoomBrake. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app.

Refunds

If the app does not work on a supported device, contact us within 14 days of purchase and we will help troubleshoot or arrange a refund. Refunds are processed via Lemon Squeezy. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

Termination

This licence ends automatically if you breach these Terms. You may end it at any time by uninstalling the app and deleting any copies.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time; the “last updated” date reflects the current version. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
