DoomBrake (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information is involved when you visit this website or use the DoomBrake Android app, and how it is handled. DoomBrake is operated by an independent trader based in Lithuania, and you can reach us at the email address at the bottom of this page.

The app runs on your device

The DoomBrake app works entirely on your phone. It does not create an account and does not send your app usage, the list of apps you block, your schedule, or any other personal data to us or to anyone else. Your settings and the usage figures used to enforce your limits stay on your device.

To function, the app uses Android’s Accessibility, Usage Access and “display over other apps” permissions. These are used only locally, on the device, to notice when a watched app opens and to show the pause screen. The app never reads, records, or transmits the content of your screen. Uninstalling the app removes all of its data from your phone.

Information we process

We keep the website free of tracking: there are no advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

When you buy DoomBrake, we receive limited order information from our payment provider — typically your email address, the fact that a purchase was made, and your country (for tax purposes). We use this to deliver your download, provide your receipt, offer support, and meet our legal and accounting obligations. If you email us, we process your message and email address in order to respond.

Payments

Purchases are sold and processed by Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC) acting as our Merchant of Record — the seller of record for your transaction. Lemon Squeezy handles payment processing, billing, fraud prevention and sales tax/VAT. Your full payment-card details are entered with Lemon Squeezy and its payment processors and are never seen or stored by us. Lemon Squeezy processes your information under its own privacy policy.

Hosting & email

This website is hosted on Cloudflare, which may process limited technical data (such as IP addresses and request metadata) to serve the site securely and protect against abuse. Transactional emails, such as your receipt and download link, are sent through Lemon Squeezy.

Legal bases (GDPR)

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (to deliver the app and your purchase); our legitimate interests (to provide support, keep the service secure, and prevent fraud); and compliance with legal obligations (such as tax and accounting). The app’s on-device processing does not involve us processing your personal data at all.

Retention & sharing

We keep purchase and support records only as long as needed to provide the product and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements, after which they are deleted or anonymised. We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with the providers that make the service work — currently Lemon Squeezy (sales, payment, email) and Cloudflare (hosting) — and where required by law. Some providers are based outside the EEA; where data is transferred internationally it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. Because the app stores nothing on our servers, most of “your data” never leaves your phone. To exercise any right regarding purchase or support information we hold, email us. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority (in Lithuania, the State Data Protection Inspectorate / Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija).

Children

DoomBrake is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

We may update this policy from time to time; the “last updated” date above reflects the latest version, and material changes will be shown on this page.
